Alexis Simpson is a State Representative from Exeter, NH, who represents the towns of Exeter, Newmarket, Newfields, and Stratham. She currently serves as the Deputy Democratic Leader in the New Hampshire House. She became active in politics after working in policy and advocacy for sustainable agriculture and serves on the Resources, Recreation, and Development Committee. In 2015-2016, she represented her town of Exeter in the state legislature spending two years on the House Environment & Agriculture Committee. Following her first term as a State Rep, she returned to ministry completing her requirements for ordination. After finishing a masters in ethics and politics, she is now preaching part-time in the Seacoast area. She has served on the Judiciary Committee dealing with legislation related to affordable housing, remote access to government meetings, privacy rights, and access to abortion care. As well as a dedicated public servant and clergywoman, Alexis is also a mother of two hilarious, musical, teenage boys. She lives with her husband and two boys in Exeter.
